Fishy Friday. Friday 15th. 5.30-8.30pm

Steve chooses the best fish on offer at Brixham for some market day specials, along with our famous Start Bay cod & chips. 

Easter Sunday Roast Dinner. Sunday 17th. 12-5pm

Treat the family to a lovely Sunday lunch at the Kings Arms. Beef, turkey or nut roast, plus some indulgent homemade desserts….including the legendary Sticky Toffee Pudding Sundae. Booking essential.

Music Night. Thursday 21st. 7pm

Started last year, the music nights have proved so popular last year that we’ve made them a regular monthly thing, on the third Thursday of each month. There’s different players each month but it’s always fun and there’s always communal singing. If you fancy playing, please get in touch. We welcome all styles. A full dinner menu is always available.

Pam’s Tea & Cake Afternoon Get-together. Thursday 28th. 3pm

A chance to meet other people and have a chat over a cup of tea and more importantly a lovely slice of cake.

Ahoy! It’s the Brixham Pirate Festival over the May Day Bank Holiday and some of those scurvy sailors are landing on these shores to raid the Kings Arms…. Games & activities, tales of treasure and, avast! sea shanties sung by Pirate Dave! £2 entry, which will go to humanitarian support in Ukraine.

Looking further ahead, it is the Jubilee Celebration at the beginning of June and there will be loads to do in Strete. On Thursday 2nd, there will be a Church concert at 6pm with Beacon lighting at Manor Farm, 9pm. On Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th there will be a beer festival and BBQ at the Kings Arms with live music and more, across both days. And on Sunday 5th June there will be a church service and then the Strete Street Party in Hynetown Road, in the form of a picnic, with coffee/tea and group photo to be taken of villagers for posterity.
