It’s very quiet round here. There’s not much to do near-by. Just wonderful walks, beautiful scenery, unusual natural habitats, and frollicking on the beach and dipping your toes into the water.

One mile to the south is Slapton beach, a three mile beach from Strete gate up to Torcross. It really is special, with the sea on one side of the road and a freshwater late, Slapton Ley, on the other.

And a mile to the north is Blackpool Sands, regularly celebrated as one of Britain’s best beaches. The Daily Telegraph recently said it was one of the best beaches to visit in a heatwave….bring it on…
