What’s on in December
Friday Club. Friday 2nd. From 6pm
A call to (the Kings) arms for people who just want to have a drink at the bar. Free hot food on the bar and drinks promotions. A chance to have a drink and a chat and start the weekend well. Now twice monthly.
Christmas Starts Here. Saturday 3rd. 2-5pm
It’s that time of year when we invite the community to come to the pub and help decorate. Decoration donations are always welcome. Last year’s event was a great success. There will be mince pies and mulled wine, perhaps a little singing, and a visit from Father Christmas himself. He will be touring around the village on his sleigh calling for donations which will go to local charities.
Christmas Quiz Night. Wednesday 7th. 7pm
Christmas special, how well do you know all things Christmas. £2 per player. Winners take the pot. With a full food menu available.
Fishy Friday. Friday 9th. 5.30-8.30pm
Steve chooses the best fish on offer at the local fish markets for some Fishy Friday specials, plus the famous Start Bay cod & chips.
Book Club. Wednesday 14th. 8pm

Christmas Music Night. Thursday 15th. Opens 5pm, music from 7pm
It’s Open Mic Night but this time with a difference: every song has to be connected in some way to Christmas. It can be a Christmas carol, a Christmas themed song from the charts, or it can be a Christmas Number One. It can be up to date or it can be as old as the hills, as long as it’s connected with Christmas in some way. Come along, step up to the mic and have some fun.
Music from 7pm. Full dinner menu available.
Christmas Friday Club. Friday 16th. From 6pm.
Bar Club with a Christmas vibe. Christmas cocktails on offer, some Christmassy snacks and lots of Christmas spirit.
Village Lunch. Thursday 22nd 1pm

Christmas Day Drinks
Get out of the house and pop down to the pub for a drink on Christmas Day. Open from 12-2pm.
New Year’s Eve Party. Saturday 31st. 7pm-1am.
Dress to impress with our Hollywood theme. The main event is a five-course dinner upstairs with fizz on arrival for £65 per person – menu below, with free entry to the bar. Later on, there’s a silent disco for everyone and bar snacks after midnight, with last orders at 1am.
Christmas Menu Through the Month
Through December, besides the normal menus, the Christmas Menu will be available for parties of four or more – a great chance to get together with a group of friends, with your club members or with some workmates, enjoy a bit of Christmas spirit, with a special meal, whilst supporting the pub as well. There’s a free bottle of Prosecco for bookings of 8 adults or more.
